What is the difference between

com.atomikos.icatch.default_jta_timeout (default 10000ms), com.atomikos.icatch.max_timeout (default 300000) both in the jta.properties and transactionTimeout in UserTransactionImp?

The default is what you get if you don't set anything, the max is what you get if you set something too high and the rest is what you get otherwise.
