Hi,

which properties file is the "correct" one? jta.properties or transactions.properties?

* The documentation only mentions jta.properties:
http://www.atomikos.com/Documentation/JtaProperties

* But in UserTransactionServiceImp source code jta.properties is referred to as "PRE_3_0_DEFAULT_PROPERTIES_FILE" whereas transactions.properties is DEFAULT_PROPERTIES_FILE_NAME.

So the documentation should be updated to clarify this.


A second question: Is it possible to suppress/redirect the output

"No properties path set - looking for transactions.properties in classpath..."

when Atomikos is started? IMHO it should not be written to Stderr but instead is would be better to use a normal logger message. And when the TM is configured using a Spring config file the output is just superfluous.

Both file names are ok, we intend to keep supporting each one.

Regarding the System.err message: we have a feature request to disable this in a future release, which we intend to honor.
