I have multiple War files with self contained transaction capablities.  The first one starts a log and the second one can not start the log.  Have also tryed global and that does not seem to work either.

ERROR: the specified log seems to be in use already. Make sure that no other instance is running, and then delete the file C:\Program Files\Apache Software Foundation\Tomcat 5.5\bin\..\work\tmlog.lck
java.lang.RuntimeException: Log already in use?

Hi,

You should set a different log folder and/or file name for each instance's logs in its jta.properties:

com.atomikos.icatch.log_base_dir=...
com.atomikos.icatch.log_base_name=...
